Breakdown Press has graced us with the western publication of Yuichi Yokoyama’s Outdoors this year. Thankfully, his work has been seeing a steady release outside of Japan, with Outdoors being the most recent. This odd work places the reader as the observer of life forms, watching them experience the hyper mundane world around them. The lack of plot places emphasis upon the continuous flow of space in Yokoyama’s world, effecting a refreshing read for those who want to escape conventional media.
